Twitter Promotes Repression of Free Thought
Banned for Criticizing Sharia |
In a recent tweet, he correctly points out that Islamic Sharia Law mandates death not only for leaving the Islamic faith, but also death for adulterers, heretics, critics of Islam, and gays. We have seen numerous examples of this practice being carried out all over the world and when one studies the writings of Sharia, one learns that these practices are in accordance with Sharia Law. He also correctly points out that people are legally or publicly executed in over a dozen countries for leaving Islam. How did Twitter respond to "The Apostate Prophet?" They suspended his account for "inciting hate speech and violence." He wasn't doing this at all! He was expressing his opposition to hate speech and violence by citing how Sharia supports it! Banning him for this makes about as much sense as banning a Holocaust Survivor for exposing that Nazism teaches hatred and violence toward other people.
Saudi Billionaires Invest in Social Media to Silence Critics |
Twitter's hypocrisy on this matter has been exposed repeatedly. One subscriber by the name of Assim Alhakeem from Saudi Arabia openly tweeted that leaving Islam is a crime punishable by death, and that he supports this punishment. Another subscriber tweeted that publicly renouncing Islam is a punishable offense. It is galling that people who are having to flee to Western nations to escape this oppression are now being forcibly silenced by social media outlets like Twitter. The sad reality is that they very tyrants that people like Rahaf Alqunun have fled halfway around the world to flee are taking over the media in the West and are silencing their critics under the disguise of "fighting hate speech." In 2011, it was revealed that Alwaleed Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud invested over $300 million in Twitter and owns nearly 35 million shares. The Apostate Prophet correctly states that after 9/11 humanitarians have been insisting that we must learn about Islam so we can fully understand it. When we take their advice and do so, we learn about how so many of its teachings violate basic human rights. Yet when we try to expose this, we're smeared as hateful bigots and numerous attempts are made to silence us. The tragic reality is that those who try to silence people like "The Apostate Prophet," they are in truth aiding they tyranny that so many have fled to the West to try and escape.
