Al-Qaeda Leader Arrested in Phoenix

Border Security is an unfortunate necessity in our nation.  Many of us dream of a world without borders a world where humanity can live in peace as one (John Lennon: Imagine).  Unfortunately, this is not the world we live in.  While many desire to live in peace, there are also many who are determined to destroy that dream and are prepared to do anything it takes to accomplish their hateful agenda.  Al-Qaeda is but one of many such groups who are determined to destroy everything the free world stands for, & they are prepared to invade and infiltrate our nation to do so.

Just recently, authorities in Arizona apprehended Ali Yousif Ahmed Al-Nouri, a 42-year-old who was a leader of a group of al-Qaeda terrorists in Al-Fallujah, Iraq and is currently wanted by the Iraqi government for killing two Iraqi policemen.  Right now the U.S. government is considering extraditing Al-Nouri to Iraq to stand trial, but the Department of Homeland Security is still unsure as to how this known terrorist leader got into America in the first place.  Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened.  The perpetrators of the 2015 San Bernardino Terrorist Attack were under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security prior to entering the nation, but they entered thanks to administrative loopholes created under the Obama Administration.  Upon entry they would ultimately carry out a terrorist attack that killed 14 people.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident.  For decades Hezbollah agents have worked to obtain dual citizenship and fake records in order to enter the U.S. and other nations.  Their purposes range from engaging in criminal enterprises such as money laundering and the drug trade to finance their terrorist activities, to engaging and carrying out armed attacks against the U.s and her allies.  While we may long for John Lennon's dream, his dream right now is not reality.  The reality is that there is evil in the world, and we must do what we can to keep this evil from invading our nation.  Whether we like it or not, border security is necessary, and it will probably remain necessary for the foreseeable future.
