Massachusetts Attorney General Falsely Smears Crisis Pregnancy Centers

In the wake of the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, Crisis Pregnancy Centers all over the nation have been attacked and vandalized by "Pro-Abortion Radicals,"  but the attacks haven't stopped there.  Recently, the Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy attacked PRC clinics in her state.  Healy accused the centers of not providing reproductive healthcare and exist solely for the purpose of preventing people from accessing abortion care.  On the states website, Healy published a number of PRC centers and noted foremost that they did not commit or refer for abortions, that they may knowingly mislead pregnant women, and may not be staffed by licensed medical personnel.

The PRC Centers united and sent at letter to Healy condemning her report.  They stated that they're faith-based organizations that are dedicated to helping pregnant women in their communities who are in need of assistance.  They further pointed out that at least two of the PRC's listed by Healy are medical clinics licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and that others have professional counselors who are licensed as mental healthcare workers.  Kelly Wilcox, the director of the Clearway Clinic, stated that they are licensed by the state itself as a women's health clinic, and thus to say otherwise is slander.  Their purpose is to provide an alternative to Planned Parenthood and to educate women about the dangers of undergoing abortions.  The PRC's also distribute free baby supplies such as diapers, formula, and clothing.  Parenting programs are offered, as are STD screenings, pregnancy tests, medical consultations, & counseling.  So to say that they're not reproductive healthcare institutions is a blatant lie.

Maura Healy's has not only launched a false smear campaign, but she has also expressed outright indifference to the attacks carried out against numerous pregnancy centers within her state.  Other political leaders such as Senator Elizabeth Warren have followed this trend and have even issued bills that falsely slander PRC centers.  These facts should show that the term "Pro-Choice" is misleading.  If these women were indeed "Pro-Choice," they would support pregnant women making the choice to go to a PRC center for help.  The fact is that these politicians are not "Pro-Choice," they're "Pro-Abortion," and they don't want women to make any kind of choice that would deviate from their agenda.
