Mirsad Ramic When ISIS invaded Iraq & declared themselves a Caliphate, thousands Muslims from all over the globe went to the Middle East to join them in their fight, and the heartland of America was no exception.  In June of 2024 the U.S. District Court in Kentucky convicted Misrad Ramic, a resident of Bowling Green, of joining ISIS.  The court showed in in 2014 Misrad Ramic along with two students who attended Western Kentucky University on a student visa program flew from Nashville to Turkey & subsequently crossed the border into Syria to join ISIS.  Misrad is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 24th & faces a $750,000 fine and up to 50 years in prison.  As for the other two Western Kentucky Students, one is confirmed to have died while fighting in Syria in 2015 while the fate of the other one remains unknown.   Misrad Ramic in Syria Misrad is originally from Bosnia & immigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 10-years-old.  The other ISIS terrorists were confi
