Christian Woman Kidnapped in Lahore
As the month of November began in Pakistan, it opened up with yet another atrocity befalling the Pakistani Christian Community. A 23-year-old woman by the name of Saima was kidnapped off the streets of Lahore as she went out to purchase shampoo. Saima is a poor orphan who lost her parents to illness a few years ago and has been living with her aunt. Throughout Pakistan, minority women have been frequent targets for abduction by radicals who target the for rape as well as forced marriage & conversion. Saima has become yet another tragic victim of this ongoing practice. Sadly, the police forces in Pakistan are infected with prejudice and corruption. They seldom take action to assist poor minorities from vicious attacks like this, and thus far, they have taken no action to help Saima. For many of these women, the only hope that they have are safe houses that are funded by outside NGO organizations. Through donations to Express Missions International, you can help fund the building of safe houses for defenseless girls like Saima. It is up to us to do what the Pakistani police are failing to do, and that is protect the innocent from harm.
