Asia Bibi's Brother-in-Law Murdered in Pakistan

Image
For over eight years Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi sat on death row for charges of "Blasphemy."  Though the Pakistani Supreme Court overturned the conviction, her life was still in grave danger.  Radicals had placed a $10,000 bounty on her head and Asia Bibi and her family had to but flee to Canada.  Though Asia and her immediate family are safe, her extended family in Pakistan is not.  On May 24th, Asia's brother-in-Law Younas Masih left home to do his daily farm work, and he never came back.  The following morning Younas Masih was found with his throat slit.   Yousas Masih has become the latest victim of Asia's blasphemy case.  In 2011, the Muslim Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer was murdered for speaking out on behalf of Asia Bibi.  One month later, Religious Minorities Minister Shahbaz Bhatti was murdered for the same reason.  When speaking of her incarceration Asia Bibi stated "I became a prisoner of fanaticism, tears were my o...

Ugandan Girl Burned by Father for Accepting Christ

Image
In March of 2020, twenty-four Rehema Kyomuhendo accompanied her father, a Sheikh (Muslim Teacher) on a business trip in Uganda.  During the trip, she spoke with a colleague of her fathers and learned he was a Christian.  As she learned about his faith, she became a believer and converted.  Her father soon found out and flew into a rage, beating her and then burning her with gasoline.  Rehema's aunt and a Christian neighbor subdued her father and rushed Rehema to a local hospital where was treated for serious burns across her body.   Under Sharia Law, leaving the Islamic faith is a death sentence, and in many instances a convert may be killed by a member of her own family.  This is exactly what Jesus warned us about in Matthew 10:35-36: "Do not assume I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace but a sword.  For I have come to turn a man against his Father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against ...

Fourteen-Year-Old Pakistani Christian Girl Kidnapped & Forced to Marry her Abductor

Image
On April 28th 2020, a man by the name of Mohamed Nakash and two accomplices abducted 14-year-old Catholic girl Maria Shahbaz in the Pakistani city of Faisalabad.  Maria's mother watched helplessly as her abductors pulled her into their car near her home while firing their guns into the air.  Shortly after the incident, Maria's mother suffered a heart attack and had to be rushed to the hospital.  Though Maria was found, the Pakistani court system is rife with prejudice.  The Faisalabad Magistrates Court ruled in favor of Maria's abductor, Mr. Nakash, and stated that Maria was 19-years-old and that Mr. Nakash produced a marriage certificate showing Maria had willingly converted and married him in October of last year, during which time Maria would have been 18 and of legal marriage age.   This is nothing but a lie.  Khalil Tahir Sandhu, the Shahbaz family attorney, brought baptism certificates, birth records, and other documentation to the cour...

Image
A Pakistani doctor and former Mayo Clinic researcher was in has been indicted on one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization after authorities say he told paid FBI informants that he pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and wanted to carry out lone wolf attacks in the U.S.  Twenty-eight year old Muhammad Masood was in the U.S. on a work visa and was arrested on March 19, 2020.  He has since been  indicted on terrorism charges.   Prosecutors state that Dr. Masood had been planning to fly to Jordan, then travel to Syria to join ISIS, but the COVID-19 epidemic lead to closed borders.  This is not an isolated incident.  Minnesota is becoming known as the "Terrorist Recruiting Capital of the Nation."  Roughly three dozen Minnesotans, mostly Somali immigrants, have left since 2007 to join the Jihadist terrorist group Al-Shabaab.   This arrest should also serve as a warning that those who...

Sharing a Poem on Social Media Lands Tunisian Girl in Prison

Image
Freedom of thought does not exist in many areas of the world, and in the West it is constantly under threat.  The case of a Tunisian girl by the name of Amna al-Sharqi is no exception.  Recently, an Algerian atheist by the name of Djilou published a poem entitled "Surah Corona," which showed the dangers that the virus posed, precautions that should be taken, and the need to embrace modern science in order to combat it.   Nothing was said about the Qur'an, Muhammad, Allah, or anything about Islam.  Despite this, the majority of Tunisians are demanding that Amna be prosecuted for sharing this post while only a minority are insisting that Amna's actions are protected by Freedom of Expression.   In response to this shared post, numerous Social Media Platforms have once again caved into the mob reaction, which is appropriately dubbed "Tyranny of the Mob," and suspended Djilou's social media accounts.  Apparently those who run the major Social M...
