Coptic Solidarity & the Trafficking of Coptic Christian Women in Egypt

Image
The issue of the trafficking of Coptic women in Egypt is not a new issue as it has been going on for many years, but it is an issue that has not been at the forefront of human rights until recent years.  Congressman Christopher Smith of New Jersey was the first politician to bring the issue to the floor of the House of Representatives in 2011, the time that the Arab Spring in Egypt was in full swing.  Since then, Coptic Solidarity has worked with Congressman Chris Smith tried to bring awareness to this human rights issue.  For years Congressman Smith has spearhead the U.S. Government's campaign to combat human trafficking both domestically and internationally, even going as far as to author the Trafficking Victims Prevention Act of 2000.    Caroline Doss: President of Coptic Solidarity Piero Tozzi: Republican Staff Director at Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission Lindsey Rodriguez: Director of Development & Advocacy for Coptic Solidarity Despite the efforts to...

Pakistani Evangelists Imprisoned & For 52 Days

Image
In Dec. of 2017, eight young Christians traveled in a van to engage in evangelistic work in Western Pakistan, near the border of Afghanistan.  On Dec. 24, their van's tire went flat, and as they waited for it to be fixed, they distributed leaflets about Jesus to locals.  As some of the locals were accepted the literature, members of the Pakistani secret police emerged from the crowd and arrested five of the Christians.  The young Christian men were taken to a local police station where they endured hours of interrogation.   Day after day, the men were interrogated and threatened, sometimes in groups, sometimes individually.  The Christians were told if the accepted Islam, they'd be forgiven & released, but if they did not, they'd be tortured & killed.  However, none of the men denied their faith.   As the days wore on, the men were kept in solitary cells, only removed for interrogation and beatings.  They were warned that they wo...

The Story of a Christian Convert in Nepal

Image
In Nepal Min Maya grew up in a Buddhist home.  As a young girl, she had no use for Christianity except to visit the local church to obtain free school supplies.  When she was old enough to leave home, Min moved in with her older sister in the capital city of Kathmandu to find work.  While there, Min became ill, and when the remedies offered by Buddhist monks didn't work, her sister invited some of her Christian friends to pray for her.  Amazingly, Min's health improved.  After this happened, Min and her sister began to take an interest in Christianity and decided to become a follower of Jesus.  However, Min's mother did not approve of her choice.   Min's mother was a Buddhist lama who performed blessing rituals for the local villagers.  As she occupied such a prestigious position within her faith, her daughter's conversion didn't sit well with her.  Min's mother first took her home and tried to push Min back into Buddhism.  When Min...

The Brother of the Prodigal Son: Then & Now

Image
In the Gospel of Luke 15:11-32 we read the Parable of the Prodigal Son.  In it, we read the story of how the son of a wealthy man asks for his share of the inheritance, which his father grants to him.  His son left home, squandered his fathers wealth on a life of materialism & debauchery.  Before long, the wealth ran out, and the Prodigal son was reduced to doing the most degrading of work, feeding swine, in order to survive.   As the Prodigal son hit rock bottom, he came to his senses, returned to his father in rags & tears, begging forgiveness and acknowledging he was not worthy to be his son.  However, his father immediately embraced his son, clothed him, and threw him a great feast.  When the Prodigal Son's Brother heard what was happening, he was filled with resentment.  He had in his mind dedicated himself to serving his Father faithfully asking nothing in return, while his brother, who squandered all that was given to him, had retu...

Former Planned Parenthood Director Turned Pro-Life Advocate

Image
For 17 years Mayra Rodriguez worked for Planned Parenthood and for a time, was in charge of three clinics.  In 2016 she was recognized by the organization as "Employee of the Year."  However, during her tenure with Planned Parenthood, Rodriguez witnessed many things that troubled her.  Such things included falsified abortion records and serious medical complications from abortion.  However, the most drastic experience came when Planned Parenthood threatened her immigration status when she threatened to report a doctor at a clinic she directed for botching the abortion performed on a 19-year-old patient.  Mayra reported that the doctor left the head of the 14-week aborted baby within the womb of the mother and then placed an intrauterine contraceptive device inside of the mother.   Instead of acknowledging this mistake, Planned Parenthood tried to bury it by falsifying the record.   When Mayra first started to work for Planned Parenthood, she ...

Cards Against Humanity is a popular party game, particularly amongst colleges students.  However, the creators of the game have now revealed themselves as having a very clear bias: they are pro-abortion, and they are prepared to use the profits of the sales from residents of states in the U.S. that pass laws forbidding unrestricted abortion & tax-payer funding for the practice to the "National Network of Abortion Funds."  This organization seeks to "remove all financial and logistical barriers to abortion access."  In short, it pays for the killing of the babies of underprivileged women (Eugenics Population Control, which was Planned Parenthood's Original Goal upon its founding).   So if you're a resident of the following states:  Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisc...
