Iranian-Canadian Politician Condemns Hamas & Warns the West

In a recent speech Iranian-Canadian politician Goldie Ghamari issued harsh condemnation to the leadership of her home nation of Iran and gave her adopted nation of Canada a dire warning of the danger that their fundamentalism poses.  Goldie Ghamari was stunned and saddened to see Hamas supporters in Canada openly celebrating the horrific attack against the nation of Israel.  This was something that she may have expected to witness in Iran, but not Canada.  It was then that the realization began to sink in, that the very ideology that she and her family fled from back in 1986 had followed her to her new home.

In her recent speech to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Goldie Ghamari testified how her parents fled to Canada when she was only a year old in order to escape the oppressive Iranian regime.  She testified how her nation was taken over by Radical Jihadists and turned into a horrific dictatorship in which all freedom's were ruthlessly crushed.  She felt blessed to have had the chance to come to Canada and live in a free society.  For her, to see the pro-Hamas rally, in Canada, was nothing short of shocking.   To see that same hateful ideology and to hear the pro-Jihad chants, the very thing that her family fled halfway around the world to escape, now being openly professed on the streets of Canada, was appalling.  She angerly told the legislature that this is not the Canada that she grew up in and fell in love with.

Hamas Flag Flown in Toronto

In a television interview after her speech, she says that the nation of Canada has changed.  When her family immigrated, they had no trouble integrating into Canada's free & secular society.  They were still able to hold onto their customs & heritage, but gladly chose to accept the Canadian idea of a freedom and liberty over that of fundamentalists Islamism.  Ghamari further stated that the site of thousands of Muslim men praying together in the streets of Toronto was not a statement of peace, it's purpose is to show a message of power, that they are taking over and are showing that they are prepared for open confrontation if necessary.  Ghamari, & many other Iranians who fled their country, have warned that these Islamists are essentially trying to take over, and they express great frustration that many people, particularly those on the Left, accuse them of bigotry & Islamophobia when they try to point out this reality.  Yasmine Mohammed, a former Canadian Muslim who was forcibly married to an al-Qaeda terrorist against her will and had to flee for her life openly expresses her frustration of trying to warn the West of the inherent danger of Islamism and yet her words continually fall on deaf ears (Link to Testimony).

The ignorance of the danger is clearly seen in the actions of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who continually refuses to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization despite ongoing please from the Iranian diaspora community in Canada for him to do so.  For too many, this is serving as a grim reminder of what happened in the 1930's.  During those years many people were fleeing Nazi oppression in Germany continually tried to warn both the pubic and world leaders of the danger that they posed, but the world turned a blind eye.  By the time the world finally woke up to reality it was too late, and history is repeating itself yet again.
