Federal Judge Declares that Federal Law Banning Female Genital Mutilation is "Unconstitutional"

Image
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is an appalling practice that has no place in this world.  I have personally read and watched the testimonies of women who had their genitals forcibly mutilated against their will and their testimony nearly made me physically ill.  Not only is the process extremely painful and dangerous, it's permanent.  Once it's done, it cannot be undone.   FGM survivor Leyla Hussein of Somalia testified that every 11 seconds, a little girl is forced to undergo the horrific practice of FGM.  She, like many others have called for a world-wide ban on this ungodly practice.  Yet the question one must ask is this, "How can we ban this practice world-wide when we cannot even ban it in our own country?" In what I can only call as the biggest judicial travesty since Dred Scott vs. Sandford (a horrific Supreme Court ruling that declared Congress did not have the authority to ban slavery, and no African residing in America, whether slave or...

How the New Testament was Preserved

Image
Some question as to whether or not the New Testament has been properly preserved.  Critics state that the earliest full copies of the New Testament that we have  are the  Codex Vaticanus  & the  Codex Sinaiticus , both are dated in the early 300’s, around 300 years after the death of Christ.   Many question that if the message of the New Testament could have changed drastically between the time of Christ and the time of the Codex Vaticanus & Sinaiticus.  However, a scholarly study done by many, including Cold Case Homicide Detective J. Warner Wallace, shows that during the chain of transmission during this time period between the death of Jesus and the two Codex's is very strong.  W e must consider the overwhelming manuscript evidence.  We have 24,000 New Testament Manuscripts from the 2nd & 3rd centuries in a variety of languages plus 36,000 New Testament manuscripts  from early Church Fathers that quote directly from the Ne...

From Hate to Hope: The Testimony of TJ Leyden

Image
"No one, not one single soul, was ever born into this world filled with hatred for another soul, or groups of souls.   Yet we live in a world filled with hatred, anger, and terror.   Where does it come from?   How does it fester?   How does it propagate?”   In truth, we’ve all found ourselves hating at one point or another.   We may hate a bully, a boss, a political leader, a relative, or any individual that we feel has wronged us.   Most of the time, that kind of hatred comes and goes.   Hate is like a fire, it needs fuel to burn, and there are times when people become indoctrinated, fueled by such resentment, that before the even realize it, they have opened a fuel valve that continually fuels the fire of hate within them to the point that they become completely consumed by it.   Former Neo-Nazi TJ Leyden knows this as well.  He not only espoused hate, he organized it.  He targeted those who opposed the hate he embraced for harm...

The United Kingdom Abandons Asia Bibi

Image
Asia Bibi's Husband & Daughter In what can only be described as a shameful act, the United Kingdom has declared that their country will not grant asylum to Asia Bibi out of fear of upsetting "community relations."  This is nothing short of a travesty.  For eight years Asia Bibi has sat on death row despite committing no crime.   Radicals across the nation are calling for her death and have vowed to kill her.  There is no individual in the world that can make a stronger case for asylum to a Western Nation, yet the UK has chosen not to let her in.   This shameful pattern of conduct by the UK time and time again.   Some years back, the UK tried to deny asylum to Mende Nazer, a young woman for the South Sudan Nuba tribe who was abducted and sold into slavery when she was just a child by murderous Arab horsemen that were financed that the genocidal Sudanese regime.  After years of abusive treatment, her slave masters sent her to t...

Radicals Call for Execution of Pakistani Supreme Court Justices

Image
After sitting on death row for eight years, the Pakistani Supreme Court acquitted her on the basis that she had not violated Sharia Law.  Unfortunately, her ordeal is not over, nor is the ordeal of many others.  Asia Bibi's lawyer, Saif Mulook has had to flee the country out of fear for his life.  Others are not so lucky.  Throughout the nation radical leaders like Khadim Hussain Rivzi (featured left) are rallying mobs that are now attacking Christians in the streets.   However, for the radicals, targeting Christians is not enough.  They're now calling or the murder of the Pakistani Supreme Court Justices, and it's very possible that their demands will be carried out.  In January of 2011, Salmaan Taseer, the Muslim Governor of the Punjab Province of Pakistan, was assassinated by one of his own bodyguards after radicals called for his execution for speaking out on behalf of Asia Bibi.  Khadim openly supported Salmaan Taseer's assassinati...

Jeff King Interviews Anjem Choudary

Image
A few years ago I had the privilege of meeting Jeff King, the Founder of the International Christian Concern, which is dedicated to helping persecuted Christians all over the world.  During the conference, I purchased a number of books, in one of them Jeff King interviewed numerous people from different areas of the world & different faith backgrounds who in one way are another have been affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.  To my amazement, one of the individuals that Jeff King interviewed was Anjem Choudary, a notorious radical Salafist who openly expresses his support of Islamic terrorism.  In September of 2016, Choudary was sentenced to five years for recruiting Muslims to join ISIS, though he was recently released after only serving two years.  Counter-terrorism experts estimate that 1/6 of the individuals imprisoned in England for terrorism are linked to Anjem Choudary Despite the fact that Jeff King and Anjem Coudary have vastly diffe...

Is the New Testament Historically Reliable?

Image
I was not always a believer in Christianity.   Until I was sixteen I was a nominal Catholic, then I became an agnostic and remained one for 8 years.   When I finally concluded that atheism was illogical, I became a theist, but didn’t know what the right path to God was, or if a right path even existed.   Thus for the next five years I critically examined the scriptures & teachings of numerous faiths to try and determine where the truth was.   When I first examined the New Testament, I didn’t focus on theological teachings, mainly because I didn’t know much about Christian theology at the time.   However, I did have a decent background in history and I initially decided to focus on whether or not the New Testament was historically reliable.   For me, if a document contains historical flaws, then its reliability needs to be called into serious question.   Therefore, I first focused on whether or not the New Testament was historically trustworthy. ...
