Jihadist Attacks ongoing in Burkina Faso
When ISIS crossed the border from Syria into Iraq, they showed the world that the goals of Jihadists are not restricted by national borders. They pay no heed to them because their goal is not defined by declared state borders. Their goal is to create a Caliphate that spans the globe, and they will stop at nothing to do this. Those who think this goal is just and "ISIS Thing" and not an overcall goal by all Jihadist forces, only need to look at West Africa to see that this is not the case. Jihadist groups like Boko Haram, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda have not only been carrying out ongoing attacks against Nigeria, but they've been attacking the surrounding nations as well, including Burkina Faso. In the most recent attack, Jihadist militants carried out a massacre in the town of Seytenga in Northern Burkina Faso, killing at least 55 people.
