Pakistan Demands Western Leaders Adopt Sharia Blasphemy Laws

Image
In the wake of the arrest and jailing of two innocent Christian women on the charge "blasphemy," Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has not only failed to take any action to abolish these unjust laws in his country, he is now demanding that Western nations adopt them.  Prime Minister Khan stated that "free speech" should not include "blaspheming Muhammad" in anyway.  To defend his position, Prime Minister Khan stated that the West understand that questioning the Holocaust hurts Jewish sentiments of the Jewish community, and they should treat the issue of "insulting Muhammad" in the same manner. Prime Minister Imran Khan issued this demand following intense pressure from Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Labbaik Party (TLP).  The TLP has long supported Pakistan's Blasphemy Laws.  They not only advocated for the execution of Asia Bibi, a Christian mother who spent 8 years on death row due to a blasphemy conviction, but the also called for the death of ...

Pakistani Christian Nurses Accused of Blasphemy

Even during the COVID Pandemic, Blasphemy Laws are under full-swing in Pakistan.  On April 09, 2021, Staff Nurse Mariam Lal and Student Nurse Neush Arooj were arrested by Pakistani police under section 295-B of Pakistan's Blasphemy code.  Two two nurses, who worked in a Faisalabad Hospital, were accused of blasphemy after Neush Arooj removed a sticker with a Qur'anic passage on it from a cupboard that she was cleaning.  Under section 295-B, these women could face a sentence of life in prison.  However, for many Pakistanis, this punishment isn't severe enough.  As they were being arrested, a mob gathered and began chanting: "Beheading the Only Punishment for Blasphemer."   As the two nurses were being arrested, one of the hospital ward staff, Muhammad Waqas, attacked Mariam Lal with a knife, wounding her in the arm.  Muhammad Waqas called Lal a "Filthy daughter of a Bitch" and stated that he wished he had killed her.  The two nurses defended t...

During Easter of 2019, Jihadist Terrorists bombed three churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka, killing 267 and wounding over 500 more.  The attack, which was one of the worst terrorist attacks in recent years, was carried out by ISIS terrorists who used the same type of explosive that they used when they bombed three churches in Indonesia in 2018; the bombing of Manchester, England in 2017; and the 2015 attack on Paris.  This explosive device used is appropriately named by ISIS as the "Mother of Satan."   The attacks shocked the nation of Sri Lanka.  Sri Lanka is a predominantly Buddhist nation, and most Christian persecution up until now came from Buddhist extremists.  Though the nation had endured a 26-year Civil War between the Buddhist Sinhalese and separatist Hindu Tamils, Christians and Muslims represented a small minority of the population, with Christians making up 7% of the population and Muslims 10%, with neither religious group launching a ...
